FORTIS EMPLOYEES HELP WITH THE RESCUE OF 2 BABY BIRDS! Yesterday the TCSPCA called us with an emergency that required one of our bucket trucks and we’d like to take a moment to thank a few of our linemen for their quick work in this rescue effort collaboration. Kerwin Arthur discovered two baby birds that had fallen out of their nest and took them to the TCSPCA for care. They in turn called us to ask for our assistance in getting them back into their rightful place. Navardo Arthur and Atley Gray showed up on scene to help the TCSPCA get the birds back into their nest. Navardo even relocated the nest to a more secure branch in order to keep the little fellas from falling out again. This small act and use of resources may seem like a stretch for an electric utility company, but it’s through acts such as these that we show our supporting community that we’re more than just a corporate entity. These actions are what help us to stand out as a responsible corporate citizen that is always willing to lend a hand to support the community in whatever way we can. The linemen that showed up were courteous, polite, and helpful and represented our company very well so with this notice we say thank you.
