FOSTER or ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED! Hero is a 2-3 year old German - TopicsExpress

FOSTER or ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED! Hero is a 2-3 year old German Shepherd mix. He is 65 lbs. One of our volunteers, Lorelei, saw him being mauled in a dog attack at a local park. She rescued him and got him immediate vet care. She begged for help when the vet said his vet bill would be $800. Thanks to Lorelei, our community heard her plea for help with his medical costs and due to her passion for his rescue, she saved his life! Thank you to our rescue community, his vet bill has been fully paid! Hero is a sweet sweet boy, he just wanted to make new friends and did not try to defend himself at all. He is great with other dogs, cats and is potty trained. He is very well mannered and listens to his foster mama, he is very grateful for his rescue and very eager to please. He is a very sweet boy loves to be near his person. He is afraid of men and the vet believes he was injured or mauled prior to the attack at the park. Current foster is having a young man feed Hero and give him treats to help him learn that not all men are going to hurt him. As his need to feel safe and secure is being met, little by little his playful side is coming out. He loves his belly rubs! When he yawns, it sounds like he is talking! He is a very funny guy! He recently went in and had his stitches removed. They also found an embedded fox tail near the wound site that had to be removed as well. He is recovering nicely, no more limping! Lorelei has health issues and lives in an apartment and isnt able to foster him through adoption. She wanted to make sure he recevied his medical treatment, took him in for his professional portrait Gluskins Photolab & Studio. Didnt his pictures come out gorgeous! He is becoming more active now that he has healed and needs to be in a home with a backyard to enjoy. He is ready for his forever home with someone who can love him and keep him safe. If you would like to foster Hero through his adoption (meaning you keep him safe, loved, and fed while he is waiting for his forever home), please email Patricia at [email protected]. Please include your phone number and mailing address. If you have any questions about fostering, you can also message us here.
