FOSTERS NEEDED! You may have noticed weve been a little busy lately! We currently have 6 cats in our intake rooms that need foster homes in order for us to make room for other displaced pets. Momma, 5yo, female (orange and white), and Junior, 2yo, male (orange), were in a fire last week that destroyed their owners home. Junior is a shy but friendly young tabby rescued the day of the fire. His Momma had other ideas and ran off. Two days later, when the owner went back to the dwelling to retrieve a few things, Red Paw met him there to look for her. She was there, waiting in the burned out kitchen for her breakfast! Both are currently recovering at RPHQ on antibiotics for mild upper respiratory issues. They will be s/n and vaccinated this Friday and ready for their foster home! Ideally, these two should be kept together. BB, 1yo, female (long hair), and Lilly, 6yo, female (Calico), were rescued from a fire that sent their owner to the hospital and sadly killed one of their feline siblings. They spent some time at Penn Vet being treated for smoke inhalation but are out and seem to be doing much better now. They will be vetted and vaccinated later this week. Both are very friendly, and likes to be petted. They were very happy to see each other when reunited out of oxygen tanks, and should be kept together! Tigger, 2yo, female (tabby), was displaced last night by a fire in her home. Her sister cat is still missing, but has been heard in the house. Tigger is very affectionate and friendly. She will be vetted and vaccinated tomorrow and will then need a foster home where once her sister is found, they can be together.
