FOUNDATION FIRST “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock…” (Matthew 7:24-25) Recently, a seven – storey building on Mumbai’s outskirts collapsed. About 72 died in worst –ever such tragedy in Maharashtra. Police relentlessly hunted for the three builders of the seven – storey structure, which came up in just seven months in violation of all norms. Two officials were suspended for negligence. The Indian government effort came too late! If the foundation for a house is that important, laying a solid foundation for a youth is more important. It is too important to be overlooked. Dear youth, remember that the efforts you make now will determine your future status and usefulness. Start with Jesus. He is the strongest foundation upon which you can build your life. Make Him Lord in every area of your life. Remain faithful to Him in obedience and service. Christ is the Rock that can withstand every stormy wind in your life. Lay the foundation of hard work, self discipline, diligence, honesty, and love for a prosperous future. Challenge: Are you building your life without Jesus. Prayer: Help me Lord to start with you.
