FOX TOPIX: How do you feel about religious displays in public schools? An Ohio teen is on strike. Anthony Miller won’t go to class or participate in any school-related activities, because the school removed a plaque displaying the Ten Commandments at his public high school. Harding High School’s class of 1953 gifted that plaque to the school; it was displayed next to the preamble of the U.S. Constitution. So, Miller is protesting. He says that will continue until an agreement is reached to bring the religious plaque back. This is not the first time the issue of church and state has been in the spotlight, you likely recall the several issues nationwide about the Pledge of Allegiance and the words “Under God” being said in school. What do you think about Anthony’s mission and religious displays in public schools? It’s today’s Fox Topix. Send an e-mail to mtm@mifox32 or leave a comment below.
