FQ: Hi there! Sorry ahead of time this is kind of long. I am 23 and 11w1d with my third child. I already have a child with down syndrome who is almost 5, and I know I have a much higher risk of having another baby with a chromosomal defect.. My doctor scheduled me for the Nuchal Translucency Screening.. But Im scheduled to get the test done on June 28th.. That will put me at 13w6d.. When I researched it I found that that is the absolute last day that the test can be performed because at 14w the nuchal fold is no longer translucent enough to measure the fluid.. Am I messing up the dates or something? I dont understand why they would wait that long. Anyone ever dealt with something like this?.. Thanks in advance!
