FQ: I am in need of some advice. So, I am a FTM and I am 20w1d pregnant. I work as a dispatcher in a police department. Its not like ones in the big city where there are more than one dispatchers and high tech computers and all that, Im on my own for 8-12 hours. I have 1-3 officers on duty (really depends) and I have to 3-5 telephone lines (including 911), the radio, and a few other communicating devices I have to maintain. So heres my trouble, Ive been there for 2-2 1/2 years and I am scheduled to working nights next month. I usually love nights but Im worried about my well-being/health and my baby girls well-being/health. Nights can be from 7pm to 7 am or 11 pm to 7 am, I dont know if I should say something to supervisor because I dont feel comfortable with me being (then) 22 wks and having to readjust my body to being up all night and sleeping throughout the day. Were in to our busy season and I already have a hard time sleeping. I feel that she should know the complications, right? My husband and I have debated on this several times and it ended up in an argument. The whole situation is stressing me out and please just help out this momma! posted by ~3
