FQ: I need some advice and encouragement from some other mom! I went to the doctor today for a cyst under my arm.. Its a staph infection. I have to take heavy duty antibiotics to get rid of it. I let the doctor know I was still nursing my 2 year old so she put me on some that were safe and free because its a generic! Well I got home and right after taking the pill began itching like crazy a all over like crazy!!! Ive never been allergic to meds before so this is all new to me. Called the doctor, they are changing my drug but when I asked the nurse if it was safe to breastfeed she said flat out no! I would have to pump and dump for the next 2 weeks and not nurse at ALL!! Its also the ONLY ONE i can take. Plus its $80.. I am so sad.... I worked so hard to breastfeed when the odds were against us.. My son is also super attached. I have to get this cleared up and I know its for the best but Im heart broken...😭😭😭 Im so scared hes going to hate me for not giving him milk anymore.. posted by ~3
