FQ: Meigan We are expecting our first the beginning of April and we are wanting to go home in July when my husband gets time off so everyone can see the baby and us. We currently live on the opposite side of the country and with me in nursing school, this summer will be the only chance that we can make it home before shes almost 16 months. Our parents are willing to come out but we want her great grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles etc to get to see her too. We are thinking of driving (its 30 hours) so we can take our 2 dogs with us and not have to worry about finding a pet sitter or boarding, plus based on cost of plan tickets its actually cheaper for us to drive than to fly. My question is has anyone ever drove 2500 miles with a 3 month old to visit family and then drive back? We would be gone about 18-20 days total (another reason we dont want to board our dogs)? I know its far out but we are planners :) TIA for any helpful advice. RP: Danae
