FRANCE EFFECTIVE 1ST JANUARY 2015 INCREASED MONTHLY WAGES TO 1457.52 EURO PER MONTH AND MINIMUM HOURLY WAGES TO 9.61 EURO FOR APPLYING WORK PERMIT AND ALSO INTRODUCED 3 NEW WORK PERMIT APPLICATION FORMS AND READ FULL DETAILS Minimum wage increase: As of January 1st, 2015, the hourly gross minimum wage in France increased from 9.53 EUR to 9.61 EUR. This 8% increase changes the monthly minimum salary from 1,445.38 EUR to 1,457.52 EUR per month. Foreign nationals coming to France under the salarié en mission work permit category (intra-company transfers) must now earn a gross salary of at least 2,186.32 euros (1.5 times the French minimum wage) per month. New work permit application forms: As of January 1st, 2015, three (3) new work permit application forms have replaced previous forms: Work Permit Form for foreign national employee residing outside of France. This form will be used for local hire work permits (work contract of three (3) months or more), including the European Blue Card and the work permit for young professionals. Work Permit Form for foreign national employee residing outside of France with a service contract or on an intra-company transfer. This form will be used for employees seconded to France in the framework of a service contract or for ICT transferees Work Permit Form for foreign national employee residing in France. This form will be used for change of status, renewals or change of employer Important changes to note on the new forms: The previous form related to the payment of the government fee (Taxe OFII) no longer exists. The information formerly collected by this form is now included in the new work permit forms. When a local labor market search is required, information regarding the search must be included on the work permit application forms. Companies are now asked to indicate the gross salary currently used for a job requiring the same qualification and similar duties/responsibilities on the work permit application form. The aim is to allow labor authorities to verify that employers comply with the principle of non-discrimination and equality of treatment. For EU Blue Card holders, the new forms must indicate the diploma obtained by the applicant and/or the number of years of experience that the applicant has in the desired job.
