#FRANCISTOWN COUNCIL DOUBLES SERVICE LEVY The Francistown City Council has doubled its service levy rates to 30 Pula from 15. Mayor James Kgalajwe told a full council meeting this morning that the increment was implemented with effect from April 1st this year. Kgalajwe, who revealed that the city council is owed over 7 million Pula in service levy arrears, urged his fellow councillors to sensitize the public about the increment. Meanwhile .............Kgalajwe says construction at the new Francistown stadium will start at the end of this month and is expected to be completed by May next year. He also told the full council meeting this morning, that a Chinese company, China Jiangsu International has been awarded the tender to complete the project which has been marred with controversy. Kgalajwe promised to monitor the project to ensure that it is completed on time
