FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 27, 2014) – The Grand Theatre will introduce its newly purchased digital projector to the public with a special evening of entertainment on Friday, Jan. 31, along with film showings Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. At 7 p.m. Friday, the University of Kentucky’s acoUstiKats vocal group, fresh from their outstanding performance on NBC’s “The Sing-Off” show, will perform. Then, at 7:30 p.m., the Grand Theatre will present “Inside Llewyn Davis,” the critically acclaimed Coen Brothers film that portrays the early 1960s Greenwich Village music scene. The movie features the music of legendary musician T-Bone Burnett and stars newcomer Oscar Isaac in the title role as a struggling folk singer. The film also will be shown Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Admission for all three events is $8.
