FRAUD IN CASTING FOR GAME OF THRONES IN SEVILLA Unrelated company created website steering hopefuls to premium-charge phone line THOUSANDS of enthusiasts have applied to be extras in Game of Thrones episodes that are to be filmed in Andalucía, but many hopefuls may have fallen victim to a telephone scam. Consumer-protection groups as well as the Spanish production company in charge of the project issued alerts last week about a webpage making bogus advertisements for the casting call and steering people to a premium-charge phone line to sign up. The production company Fresco Film Services, which was hired by HBO to coordinate the filming planned in Sevilla later this year, stated that the information on the website (castingjuegodetronos) was fraudulent. It said the only way to sign up for the casting is via email ( castingjuegodetronos@gmail) or through the Facebook pages of Málaga-based Fresco and its casting partner Modexpor.
