FREE Accredited Sports Leaders Training NCYP are offering some fantastic Accredited Leadership Training opportunities through Sports Leaders UK, which will offer nationally recognised qualifications that equip people with the knowledge, skills and motivation to create and run sporting activities. Qualifications: Level 1 in Sports Volunteering Dates / Times - Fri 7th 4pm - 8pm, Sat 8th 10am - 6pm & Sun 9th June 10am - 2pm Venue - Murray House Community Recreation Centre, Diana Street , Central Newcastle , NE4 6BT Level 2 in Community Sports Leadership Dates / Times - Sat 15th June, Residential (Dukeshouse Wood Activity Residential Centre, hexham) 21st, 22nd, 23rd, Sat 29th & Sat 6th July. ) - to also include 10 hrs volunteering Venue - North Shields East End Youth & Community Centre, Kettlewell House, George Street, North Shields, North Tyneside, NE29 1EL - (a 5 min walk from North Shields Metro Station) Level 1 in Dance Leadership Dates / Times - Fri 19th, Sat 20th, Sun 21st & Sat 27th July Venue - North Shields East End Youth & Community Centre, Kettlewell House, George Street, North Shields, North Tyneside, NE29 1EL - (a 5 min walk from North Shields Metro Station) Aims: These practical leadership courses will provide you with the skills and knowledge to use safe sport and physical activities as a positive youth work tool to enhance the personal development of young people; you will increase your knowledge and understanding in areas including communication, team work, planning and organisational skills. These newly acquired skills will help make your Club work more efficient and enjoyable for both you and the young people. Cost: • FREE to all 16-18 years of age / 19 - 23 year olds who are NEET • FREE to all NCYP members / £75 none members (Level 1) and £150 none members (Level 2) - (age 13+ Level 1 Course and age 16+ Level 2)
