FREE Disposal Day for Ellsworth Residents at the Ellsworth - TopicsExpress

FREE Disposal Day for Ellsworth Residents at the Ellsworth Transfer Station! Mark your calendar for October 5th and gather up your scrap wood, leaves, brush, metal, appliances (non-hazardous white goods), furniture, mattresses and old tires and take them to the Ellsworth Transfer Station between 10AM and 4PM. Proof of residency will be required so bring something like your tax bill or a utility bill that shows your physical address on it. A maximum of 5 old tires per household will be accepted. Items that will NOT be accepted are: Regular Household Trash (unless the $2.00 sticker is on the bag), Commercial Waste, Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics, Florescent Light Bulbs and Engine Blocks or Junk Cars. This is your once a year opportunity to clean out your unwanted junk and beautify your property. The City provides this service to avoid the illegal and unsightly dumping of junk onto undeveloped properties and rural dirt roads, which while unthinkable to most of us, happens more than you can imagine!
