FREE HORSE to Parelli home only. PLEASE HELP!!! LBE/LBI - 10 year old -15.2h - athletic gelding that was an accomplished hunt horse at one time. Was pushed hard and handled roughly by crooked trainer and sold to my client as an 8 year old girls show hunter for $5k. He no longer goes forward in an arena setting (bulking/rearing/bucking all half-hearted), and needs to be re-naturalized by someone who will invest in him. They want me to re-home him in 30 days. They cant keep him. His future is uncertain. He is in Bentonville, AR. THIS HORSE IS WORTH SAVING! Here are his sales videos: https://youtube/watch?v=GuNXaqU6J1M https://youtube/watch?v=BLlfCSG34q0 I have spent 30 days with him getting his body feeling good again. That was part of the issue. Natural hoof trimming, chiropractor, dentist, ground work, and work in hand for his abused mouth. He still loves people and meets me at the gate. Hes a textbook LBE. Still seeks the jump himself, not spooky, natural lead changes, will take over without leadership, thrives on play, is surprisingly affectionate and tries his guts out when shown compassion. He is not dangerous to ride right now. If you dont push him, he stands, guides and walks willingly. Soft to the leg on turns, and soft on the reins. His defensive fits are proportionate to how hard the rider pushes him forward. I took him out on our 40 acre cross country course and had a lovely ride on him at a walk on a loose rein. He stops and goes off of your seat. His problem is directly related to feeling threatened by his rider. I pushed him a little harder his last couple of days in training because I was out of time to help him, and he went catatonic. I just hustled him with soft rhythmic pressure, not harsh phases. He has seen some things. I have already made a small amount of progress with him being very passively persistent and clicker training. We are up to getting a forward trot off of a phase 2 or 3 for short distances. Im out of time, though. Im in San Francisco until next week, and Ill have two weeks left after that to place him. Ill donate training time on him until then, and then I dont know what will happen to him. His owners are not natural, but want a good home for him. If you want current video, I can put it together when I get home. Please share this!
