FREE Job Skills Training Program At Bill J. Priest Institute The Family & Leadership Empowerment Network (FLEN) located at 1402 Corinth Street, Suite 137, Dallas TX 75215 will provide FREE life & job skills training for unemployed, low-income and/or housing unstable people. We also work directly with small business owners to provide clients with on-the-job training to prepare for entry level jobs that could potentially lead to career advancement opportunities in the future. Next class starts Monday, May 20, 2013 at 9:00am. Client-Trainees Trainees participate in six (6) weeks of classroom instruction that teaches core life skills and pre-job training skills to prepare trainees to be matched with small business owners. Once trainees complete the classroom component, they may participate in eight (8) weeks of on-the-job (OJT) training by a small business owner. Upon completion of the training, employers provide a letter of recommendation for the trainee so that FLEN can use this during the job placement component. During the OJT component clients receive transportation assistance. Upon graduation clients receive a monetary graduation gift.
