Pickin the hits of the 20s, 30s & 40s. Ride the rails with The Sweet Jelly Rolls as they holler depression era blues & pay homage to the heros of honky tonk. The Sweet Jelly Rolls are Matthew Golotta & Andrew Cavalieri, two cheeky young men who will clog your arteries with down home Americana goodness Its plain & simple, this fun loving, dynamic duo have one of the biggest & rawest sounds you will hear for just two fellas!! Hailing from Western Sydney, The Sweet Jelly Rolls blend a glorious brew of old time bluegrass, country blues, country AND western music, that will have you singing, dancing, clapping, & forgetting all the morals your po’ momma taught you. The boys play with the motto of We take it seriously, but we dont…, which refers to their love and passion for the music they play & write, combined with the exuberant amount of fun & enjoyment they have on stage. This lively attitude has seen the boys share the stage with the likes of Wagons, Frank Sultana & The Sinister Kids, Juke Baritone & The Swamp Dogs, Howlin Steam Train, The Woohoo Revue & many more. Whilst making Ol Sydney town their home, the lads are no stranger to kicking up some dust in the country, playing festivals like The Gulgong Folk Festival, Wagga Wagga Blues & Jazz Festival & the Blue Mountains Winter Magic Festival. The Plough are a Blue Mountains Old Timey String Band rising out of the Bluegrass & Traditional Country Music Society of Australia (BTCMSA). The Plough (Daniel Duffy, Francis Duffy, John Healy and Michael Grose) combine high energy bluegrass with sweet gospel to create that authentic Old Timey country sound whilst also drawing upon Appalachian elements to add a true mountain sound. Just coming off the back of The Katoomba Winter Magic Festival and The Gulgong Mini Folk festival this foot stompin, yodeling Old Timey String Band is sure to not disappoint! FREE ENTRY!
