FREE NATIVE PLANT GIVEAWAY Give your garden and our natural ecosystem a boost with free native plants Hornsby Shire Council. Using local plants in your garden can attract native wildlife, are better suited to the local soil type and require less water than introduced plants once established. The plants on offer are specially grown for certain areas of the Shire, so only residents from these suburbs can claim plants this time around: Asquith, Berowra, Berowra Heights, Brooklyn, Cowan, Dangar Island, Hornsby, Hornsby Heights, Mount Colah and Mount Kuring-gai.
