FREE SCHOOL BUS: Governor Mimiko gets uncommon accolades for his free school bus shuttle scheme. Almost three years now, theyre still very effective and theyre everywhere in the state. This certainly is a rare example of populism, progressivism and good governance on display: Oluwatoyin Adegbenro: No doubt, Iroko has been marvellous in this regard. Just yesterday, I wondered how his successor could ever match him in this regard...... kudos to him. Adesuyi Adebola: One of the best programmes to be introduced by any Administration. We must do everything to ensure that this particular programme outlives this present Administration. Kudos to all in charge of the operations of the programme. Dr. Rotimi Akingbola : We hope the next governor continues with these programs Shaba Babatunde Ayo: If only secondary school have been allowed to vote, Mimiko would win 90% vote in any election conducted in Ondo state just bcos of the school free shuttle bus Nasiru Sunny Oseni: Good governance is about the ordinary people. Yes, this is good governance. Kudos to Ondo State Government. Remigius Akinbinu: Aregbesola has followed suit in Osun, kudos to him. Keying into the Iroko vision in populism is the beginning of wisdom for the progressives Olaniyi Nelly Olaniyan: Aregbesola school Bus shurttle is 30 naira per student not free unlike iroko free shurttle bus Shola Williams: I like aregbesola, because ,the man knows how to copy good things. Daniel Bankole Afilaka : Its called sustainable developments! Adebola Adesuyi: Lets always give credits where credits should be given. This is a solid welfarist programme. I know of school kids of comfortable parents who from their parents cars, still envy these children in the school buses. I even know of some that want to join the buses from their parents cars. Finally, in terms of maintenance of the buses, we must commend the transport Ministry. They have kept strictly to bringing out the buses in the morning, parking till closing in the afternoon and so far, we have not seen any big man in Government using it to transport people for owambe on weekends. If these rules are strictly adhered to, the lifespan of the buses will be long and new purchases will join existing ones and the programme will be sustained. I am very passionate about this particular programme cos of its direct touch to the children.
