FREE SPEECH: We seem to be witnessing an elitist philosophy at play, one shared by both the extreme left and the extreme right, which aims to stifle all expression that doesnt fit within their parameters of what they consider to be acceptable speech. There are all kinds of labels put on such speech--its been called politically incorrect speech, hate speech, offensive speech, and so on--but really, the message being conveyed is that you dont have a right to express yourself if certain people dont like or agree with what you are saying. Case in point: The Atlanta airport is prohibiting travelers from access their WiFi from transmitting anything that might be construed as unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, obscene, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable. In other words, airport officials are grounding free speech. The Rutherford Institute is preparing to educate airport officials on the ins and outs of the First Amendment. #freespeech #hatespeech #politicalcorrectness
