FREE TO A GOOD HOME Maxine is a 7 year old Thoroughbred bay mare, located in Geauga County, Ohio. She is being offered FREE to a good home. She is 16.1 hand bay who was originally track trained. She has been off the track for at least 2 and a half years. After a long pasture stint, her first off-track owner worked with her extensively and discovered she shows an aptitude for jumping. She is sound with no vices and a gentle disposition. She has been trail ridden successfully and lunges, as seen in the video clip, without fear of the lunge whip. She is good in the barn, and stands quietly for mounting. Her previous owner has deemed her unworthy of her fox-hunting goals because she was tense under saddle, but does not offer to buck or bolt. This mare has a future, which is why her foster mom rescued her from a terminal endpoint. I am trying to assist by locating a good forever-home.
