FREEDOM WALK CUT SHORT - A violent partner was arrested just a few steps into his freedom walk from prison − and is now back in jail after officers proved he made a threatening phone call to his ex whilst behind bars. Marvin Trevis was detained as he set foot from Oakwood prison, Wolverhampton, on 28 March when it emerged he’d breached a restraining order by contacting a former girlfriend he’d previously been jailed for assaulting. The 24-year-old, formerly of Latelow Road in Stechford, wrote several letters to the woman − who he once left black and blue after a curtain pole beating − under a different prisoner’s name in an attempt to avoid detection.
