FREEZING OF GAIT IN HISTORY:- Erasistratus of Ceos (310BC- 250BC), a Greek anatomist and royal physician under Seleucus I Nicator of Syria described a walking difficulty “paradoxos a type of paralysis in which a person walking along must suddenly stop and cannot go on, but after a while can walk again”. In this writing he may be describing freezing of gait that occurs in Parkinson’s disease.
