FRENCH CONNECTION ~ CÉSAR CREDITS LIGUE 1 FOR HAZARD BOND CESAR AZPILICUETA says his time playing in France with Marseille was crucial to his current partnership with Eden Hazard at Chelsea. Azpilicueta has established himself as Jose Mourinhos 1st-choice LB this season,despite playing predominantly as a RB earlier in his career. And that has seen him form a increasingly prosperous relationship with Eden Hazard down the left for the Blues. He said: I played against him in France&when I came here we knew each other a little bit. The relationship is good because were more or less the same age&we speak French. I know every time I give him the ball hes going to do something different. Meanwhile,Azpil icueta believes Chelseas good defensive record this season can be attributed to everyone in the team playing their part. The Blues have managed 8 clean-sheets in their 11 Premier League games this year&have now conceded the fewest goals of any side in the top flight. And the Spanish defender claims that while top CBs have helped,everyone has bought into Jose Mourinhos team- wide defensive philosophy. He told Chelsea TV: We are defending well because everyone is defending. We are not conceding goals because everyone is doing their jobs. We are keeping a lot of clean-sheets&we are doing well is because of the team. We have very good CBs,quality players. John,Gary&David are very good CBs&the relationship between them is key for the team.
