FRESH N HOT SPORT GIST: FIFAs chief ethics investigator Michael Garcia claims the report on his investigation into the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bids contain numerous materially incomplete and erroneous representations” and has announced he will appeal against the findings. This comes after FIFA had issued a statement earlier today in acceptance of the report by chairman of FIFA independent ethics committee and adjudicator Joachim Eckert, clearing Russia and Qatar of any wrong-doing in the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 world cups respectively. Another twist to the story now is that the FBI is rumoured to begin a general investigation of corruption on perhaps a wider scope in FIFA. This is going to be a very long movie if you can see further...So sit tight as the mud-slinging continues and skeletons fall off cupboards in the world football governing body.
