FRIDAY 1/9/15 at 10am there is going to be a Law Enforcement Appreciation Rally here at the Gates Town Hall Recreation Room sponsored by the Genesee Valley Chapter of COPS and the Town of Gates. This is a National Campaign by the COPS Organization to have a day of support for our Nations Law Enforcement Officers! COME JOIN OUR RALLY ON FRIDAY AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE PEACEKEEPRS! The program will consist of some brief comments from local community leaders supporting all of local Law Enforcement followed by refreshments where you can meet and greet our local Law Enforcement officers! Various agencies will be in attendance. Citizens may show their support in a number of ways.... 1. Change your profile picture on Social Media to an image of support for the police. 2. See a Police Officer...Thank a Police Officer. 3. Wear Blue Clothing in support of Law Enforcement. 4. Send a card of support to your local agency or State agency. 5. Share a positive story about Law Enforcement on social media. 6. Ask Children in the community to write letters of support! 7. Organize and event or a rally in support of Law Enforcement! 8. DIsplay a blue light on you home or in a window.
