***FRIENDLY...SNUGGLY...GREAT FAMILY DOG!!!*** ADOPTION, RESCUE, OR FAOSTER NEEDED at Pearland Animal Control (south of Houston, TX). MERLE (ID# A118853) was brought to the shelter as a stray on 1/2. He is about 2 years old, 54 pounds, and screened HW-. He went to a foster home for a while, where he did very well. His foster family says he is housetrained; friendly; likes to play fetch; and gets along with children, cats, and other dogs. They say there is not a mean bone in his body, and all he wants is to snuggle and play fetch. They think he would make a great family dog. Unfortunately, Merles foster family could not keep him any longer, so they regrettably had to bring him back to the shelter. It was nothing that Merle did wrong, they just could not keep him any longer. I hate to see this boy back at the shelter after his brief taste of freedom. Will someone please foster or adopt Merle to give him his freedom back? He has a lot of love to give. SPACE AT THE SHELTER IS VERY LIMITED, and it continually operates at or very near capacity.
