FRIENDS! I have a minor tech-emergency. I updated my mac to OS X Yosemite, right, which is fine and sleek and lovely, but like, NeoOffice, my only word processor, is too out of date for this fancy new OS. It tells me to download a patch to make it compatible, but the patch is for a newer version of NeoOffice than the one I have, so it wont work. Then theres this new version of NeoOffice I can download, but it costs some dollars I dont feel like spending. Theres also a free version, but its just a trial and doesnt let you save anything, so its pretty much complete garbage. So Im wondering now if any of you kind and clever folks on the Internet know of a free, easy, safe word processor that Id be able to download without worrying about money or compatibility issues. Please help. Im trying to revise a bunch of poems and its virtually impossible when I cant save anything >.< xx
