FRIENDS, WE CAN EITHER SIT AROUND WAITING FOR THE HAMMER TO FALL - OR WE CAN TRY TO BE PROACTIVE. I have been watching RIP posts flood my news feed all day today. It is that time of year. Get ready to see more and more RIP posts as the 4th of July approaches which we all know is a deadly time in the shelters. Each of those RIPs was a life snuffed out, potential never realized. Each is a tragedy. WHAT I PROPOSE is that ANYONE who is interested in FOSTERING - PLEASE CONTACT the rescue of your choice NOW if you could open your home to a dog in need of rescue. OFFER HELP BEFORE IT IS NEEDED. Before I and others are posting and reposting and begging for a foster home or adopter. And speaking of ADOPTERS, iff you would like to ADOPT, by all means head on down to the shelter and find your new best friend, or maybe two! It is simple math, folks and there are TWO OPTIONS: MAKE ROOM THROUGH ADOPTION AND RESCUE **OR** THE SHELTER MAKES ROOM BY KILLING. ******** If you would like to know more about fostering, I would be happy to share my experiences and give you a few leads.
