FRINGE PRO WRESTLING proudly presents OVERDRIVE, taking place Sunday October 26th, 5PM, at the Stoney Creek United Church! Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, and folks, we have a blockbuster main event. TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE at: CHEAPIES RECORDS AND TAPES 67 King St E WHERE HEADS MEET 162 Ottawa St N YELLOW IRIS GIFTS 39 King St E (Stoney Creek) Ashley Sixx will make his first title defense as he takes on the #1 contender, Reckless Ryan Swift, who has displayed a never say die attitude, and fights with every fiber of his being, since he stepped into a Fringe ring. And after what took place at Locked and Loaded, The Unit clearly knows this. Justin Sane tried to put Swift out of action, but was unable to attain a victory, and despite a post match beat down, Swift still walked out of the ring. Also, Cameron Banks threatened something may happen to Swift before Overdrive. Also, with Swifts fiancee Beautiful Beaa also getting involved, for Swift this may have turned personal. However, The Units actions clearly show, that they know Swift is a threat to them, and that with the loss of the title, they also lose a piece of control. And the tag team title match is back on, yes, the war between the Goat Brigade and Monster Mafia wrote another unexpected chapter to their story this past week, when it was revealed that Josh Alexander was apparently the victim of a vicious attack, and now his own partner, and best friend, Ethan Page cant even track him down. Initially, C.E.O Cameron Banks scrapped the match, stripping the champs of the titles. The normally cocky, egotistical, and laid back Page, got worked up and angry calling out Cameron Banks for this action. The co-holder of the tag belts was furious at the fact he wasnt able to pick another partner, or go at the Goat Brigade 2-on-1, and labelled Banks as someone whose interests only benefit himself. Banks took great offense to this, initially standing his ground, however, in a major shocking turn, Banks decided since allegedly nobody wanted to tag with Page, or nobody could, he inserted HIMSELF into the match. Thats right, Cameron Banks, the C.E.O, who never fought in a match in his career, wil be Ethan PAges partner, and pretty much ADMITTED he wouldnt make much of a partner? What is he trying to do? Is he trying to do this to spite Page? Or has his megalomania grown so big, that he actually wants to be a champion? Who knows, but I certainly cant wait to find out! It looks as if Xavier Rome may have bit off more than he can chew, since losing the Hammer City title to Aiden Rayne, hes been off his rocker. So much so, he pretty much labelled Rayne a coward for being unable to compete due to injury. However, Romes rant within hours of going public, drew the ire of one Warhed! Thats right, the 13 year veteran of the squared circle, a man who has literally poured his blood, sweat, and tears into wrestling, is taking it personal, and laid out the challenge, as he will make his Fringe debut. Warhed keeps his friends close, his enemies closer, and his FAMILY even closer, and Rayne & Warhed are indeed like family, and Warhed is livid that someone he feels hasnt paid his dues, dare mess with anyone close to him, by shooting off his mouth. However, weve seen how Rome is no slouch, hes rendered opponents unable to continue matches, nearly ended the career of Mark Shaw, and also, wasnt pinned when he lost the Hammer City title, and a victory over Warhed would certainly enhance his reputation greatly. But in this anything goes Hammer City Rules match, Warhed could decimate Rome within in an inch of his life, or he may just even go that extra inch! Also, after much hype, the road to crowning the first Redline Champion, begins at Overdrive. Here are the rules: A 15 minute point-system match, the winner is determined as follows: Pinfall/Submission: 2 points Count Out: 1 point Disqualification: -1 point Time Limit Draw w/ no points: Champion LOSES THE BELT. Time Limit Draw w/ points: Champion retains Only TWO rope breaks per wrestler. The first opening round match will be, Hammer City Division mainstay, The Grinder Mark Shaw, taking on John Atlas. Both men have different styles, different personalities, but share one thing in common, agression! What a collision course these two are headed for! Also in the first round, Alessandro Del Bruno will take on The High Risk Hero, Rip Impact. These two exciting fan favorites will put on excitng display of athleticism and competition. Both men have had huge success on the local scene, and are both very popular among the fans, but now they each want to be a champion, and will each fight with everything theyve got to achieve their goal. How about this Redline match, Marc Hauss, who has been making quite the name for himself as of late on the indy wrestling scene, will take on Kobe Durst. Hauss seems to have a way of getting under the skin of is opponents as well as fans, and Kobe Durst will have to make extra sure he doesent fall for Hauss tactics. However, Durst is fresh off stepping up his game against Alessandro Del Bruno, and hes well on his way to a big moment. In our final bracket, Jim Nye The Science Guy will take on Fringe newcomer, Taylor Kaydeen, who is looking to make a big impact at Fringe. Despite his loss to Bill Black at Locked and Loaded, Kaydeen showed he fears no man, and is ready to take on any competition head on, and full of confidence. Jim Nye however, has quite the track record at Fringe, and that would have to make him one of the odds on favorite to not only win the match, but win the whole thing, and become the first Redline champ. Either way, well see if he can continue his winning ways on the 26th. Folks, this will be a happening you need to see, SUNDAY October 26th, 5PM bell time, doors open at 4:30, Stoney Creek United Church....dontcha dare miss it!
