“FROG” NEEDS YOU: Our Chihuahua “Frog” came to Last Hope suffering from a very painful condition. He is having major surgery in NYC tomorrow. He needs your well-wishes, prayers, kindness and sharing to help him via “The Frog Prince Fund”. We turned his sad story into this fairy tale (below) in hopes of giving “Frog” a “Happily Ever After”: “Once upon a time, in far away in a land called Virginia, a stray Chihuahua named “Frog” suffered from painful and itchy, infected ears, neglected so long. His ears became deformed, resembling mini-molten volcanoes that oozed malodorous lava, irritating and covering his whole body. This made it harder to comfort him. His ears bled. Every moment of every day Frog was in distress; yet, he retained his sweet disposition Somewhere a wicked witch cast this evil spell on him, and then turned him out to fend for himself until he wound up in an over-crowded Virginia shelter. Miraculously, he was chosen for a transport up North to Last Hope. When “Frog” arrived at Last Hope on Long Island, help was the wave of a wand away. An expensive operation by specialists on each ear called a TECA* could remove this evil spell and remedy his discomfort. And “Frog’s” fairy god veterinarians at The Animal Medical Center (AMC) in NYC will be doing something magical. The AMC is providing the surgery plus covering the expenses for one ear and a percentage of the other through their remarkable AMC TO THE RESCUE program.
