FROM A MAN: Hi Zane, I am a 27 year old guy, and my girlfriend is 21 (Been together for close to 3 years). The problem we are both facing now is our parents. My dad has kicked me out of his house and has sworn not to pay for the remainder of my university fees ( I have one semester left till i graduate). He also accused me and my gf of stealing his money and other stuff, even though that is a lie. My dad outrightly hates my gf simply because she is of a different tribe. I am currently staying with a friend as I do not have anywhere to live. I have tried so hard to hide my relationship from my dad but he keeps finding out. My gf also gets stressed by her mum to leave me alone because I am from a different tribe. We are both of good behavior and we are christians. I really do not know what to do now. Should I go back home and beg my dad or should I just try and survive on my own? He has pretty much disowned me and left me to my fate. Please advise and keep me anonymous. Thanks P.S Let me know when this is posted. MY RESPONSE: If you and your girlfriend love one another, the two of you need to do whatever it takes to survive and be together. I am not sure where you are from or what tribes you each belong to but love is love and the heart wants what the heart wants. It sounds like the two of you are good people and maybe you can finish school with loans or take on some extra work. Even if you have to delay a semester and be happy, it will be worth it. You will not be the first or last person who has had to save up to attend school. Good luck.
