FROM CRADLE TO GRAVE I saw him this week; either Tuesday or Wednesday. He was such a tall, huge and hefty type--the afu dimkpa, afu opiopio imi ya brand. He has become notorous in my neighbourhood; especially, since he started erecting that maginificient storey building contrary to the initial government plan of our housing estate which was: downstairs of two flats only. When I last saw him, he was as usual, hale and hearty. We all know him for his usual parade and routine, which are: daily visiting the point and kill joint(sometimes, 3 times a day) and inspecting his new exotic storey building in my area. On Wednesday this week, he slumped and started foaming. He was taken to the hospital on emergency, but he couldnt make it. He passed on! He was immediately taken to the mogue that night. Oh! We lost him. I had thought life was just from cradle to grave untill I remembered I had Christ and thats just what gave me a better hope and confidence--I now know that if my mortal body is destroyed,
