FROM DIABETIC CONNECT: NATIONAL BBQ MONTH GRILLED T-BONE STEAKS w/BBQ RUB Take your T-bones to the next level with a mouth-watering wet rub of zesty sauces and seasonings. Ingredients 2 lb T-Bone steak, lean , cut 1 inch thick 1 pinch salt BBQ Rub 2 tbsp chili powder 2 tbsp packed brown sugar 1 tbsp ground cumin 2 tsp minced garlic 2 tsp cider vinegar 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne) Directions Combine rub ingredients; press evenly onto beef steaks. Place steaks on grid over medium, ash-covered coals. Grill, uncovered, 14 to 16 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness, turning occasionally. Remove bones and carve steaks into slices, if desired. Season with salt, as desired. Broil Tip: To broil, place steaks on rack in broiler pan so surface of beef is 3 to 4 inches from heat.
