FROM MAY 27, I have spent my first five weeks in CA recuperating from the extreme heat and a bug I may have contracted on the plane. I have had a couple of doctors appointments, hospital stay and medical center visit to check on the test and findings. I feel much better now after rest and recreation, visiting my two kids and my grandson. Life is great and it is filled with a lot of wonderful things. I have found out that it is better to receive everything with a glad heart whether the event is happy or sad for both are just two sides of the same coin. I would like to live a long and productive life. Some say 112 years is unreasonably long but i do not see it as such. My dream was to become an immortal (without death) and to be able to fly as I have seriously taken the attributes of an eagle and had tried to fly above the rain. But certain realities have hit me now that I am older. Today, I know I am much more vulnerable than I thought. I can go any moment. I remember one time asking a friend if he was ready to make the final trip and he said Lets go ! and I thought this guy is serious but as for myself I was not so sure. No one knows his or her expiration date and I would like to think that no one would like to find out. Last year in mid January, I attended a Celine Dion concert at Caesars in Vegas with my BFF and son. By months end I woke up in a hospital via 911. All I did that day was my dumb bell exercise and my extreme swim non-stop for about an hour. I was tired but feeling good then shortly I went to bed, probably around 8 to 9 PM January 31st. By past midnight I came to and woke up inside the emergency room of the Memorial Valley hospital with somebody asking me do I know where I was. I did not. All I remembered was I went to bed and thats it. My daughter and son who drove two hours were there, summoned by my BFF. It was so sudden. I was just doing my extreme exercises, rested and then now this. I was met by a team of physicians and underwent batteries of tests while I was unconscious.on my 911 visit. Feb 3-4 I was on the operating table for the removal of a benign brain tumor. BFF said the surgery lasted about 3-4 hours, the tumor was excised routinely as its location was relatively easy to work on being right on top of the brain mass by the side. I was on intensive care for 3 days and checked out and released on the seventh. Ador and Apo, two of my classmates were there together with Ofel to visit and see me off the hospital. They drove from Sacramento. I felt really good after the surgery. There was no weakness in any part of my body. The neuro-surgeon did an excellent job. I went on a diet to remove about 10 pounds for the next 8 months and succeeded taking off 18. Then off I went to the Philippines in October after meeting with Arnel in Seattle end of June and then with other classmates Sid, Apo, Melchor, Ador, and Larry in San Francisco. Joel was on his way to a flight to RP that day last year.
