FROM MY INBOX; Hi Mugo, kindly hide my identity, Iam an ESP health worker working in NAKURU county. Weve worked under the now defunct economic stimulus program since june 2011 on 3years contractual terms,The said contract expired on june this year&the monies to confirm all the health workers in the program for this financial year was factored in&passed in the budget, The problem now is the pace&modalities the Nakuru county public service board is using to confirm the workers. According to information Im privy too is that the board corruptly confirmed 40 out of 185 health workers early this month after either some monies changed hands& or the officers were known/relatives to members of the board, Efforts to unearth the confirmation criteria from the board has been futile&it seems the remaining health staffs ll have to wait for a bit longer before this is finalized, The executive of the county has been mum on this issues but the legislature really tried to push the arrogant board members until they were exhausted,According to an article in the dailies(Standard on monday 15th),The remaining 145 health workers have been discharged without any formal writings nor benefits, Since we were devolved, our commuter, uniform,NHIF&NSSF remittances disappeared without a trace, Now our dreams hv been shattered coz the only reason we agreed to the 20k p.m contract terms was the hope of confirmation to P&P terms otherwise that cash was too little, Kindly find for us what is going on,i hear they ll be advertising for almost 2000 health slots from next month but with the current composition of the county public service board i can assure you corruption ll carry the day,No legitimate person no matter how best their qualifications are ll get a slot without being nepot to a board member or giving cash, Youve pushed for justice for others, kindly push for this lot. Again hide my id.
