FROM NIPPER TO LEGENDS Wauchope Bonny Hills Surf Club is inviting the public into their club house when they throw open the doors of the surf club on Sunday 29 September. The club is inviting members of the public to beautiful Rainbow beach Bonny Hills, where club house tours, rescue demonstrations, a mini surf carnival and giveaways will all be taking place from 10 am through to 1pm. Additionally there will be a free sausage sizzle and plenty of people to discuss membership options with you. Join before 13 October and you have the chance to win a 16GB Samsung Galaxy Tablet. Wauchope Bonny Hills surf club has been operating continuously since 1958 and continues the truly Australian, often imitated, iconic activities involved with surf lifesaving. As Australian as kangaroos and meat pies, the great Aussie tradition of nippers is as strong as ever at Bonny Hills. Not only is nippers the most fun that kids can have, it also provides children with surf skills and confidence, basic resuscitation skills and a whole load of new friends. Nippers starts on the 13th October, it is a great social, fun, healthy outdoor sport that the whole family can get involved in. Wauchope Bonny Hills surf club is one of the strongest in NSW Country and offers prospective members a range of opportunities and activities including lifesaving, resuscitation and first aid training, first class surf competition, fantastic facilities including a gym, the Fat Fish café and a club house with spectacular ocean views. Just this season club member and former nipper, Andy Eames was selected for a twelve month role with the Fiji Surfing Association, developing lifesaving and surfing in Fiji – what an opportunity. Come down to Bonny Hills on September 29, and see what opportunities are available for you. The first Wauchope-Bonny Hills SLSC President and Life Member – Wally Sneddon will be travelling down to be at our club for the Open Day on Sunday, along with Port Macquarie Hastings Council’s Mayor, other councillors and Lesley Williams.
