FROM NO WHERE TO SOMEWHERE: The mighty Cedar of Lebanon like the great Mustard trees and our local luxuriant Iroko cousin of theirs, start as insignificant near microscopic seeds and end up as landmarks celebrated by generations of men. Most great men were born small. Many more were born imperfect and in tarnished conditions, which are latter hallowed and exulted by achievments. Imperfection is not a permanent condition nor is natural disadvantage synonymous with a fractured destiny. Celebrated lives are those that were never overwhelmed by the praise of associates nor dis-focused by the criticism of foes.Never ignore little beginnings because they are the solid rocks in which eternal greatness is nurtured but entrapped and protected . Never take initial weakness for failure or assume that weakness at the onset amounts to pathological uselessness. Weakness and initial failure imply that useful instruments are still in their gestation period and will surely play their destined role at the point of maturity. Patience is the ingrindient that enhances organic maturation. Those things rejected by many mostly turn out to be the instrument of great use that contemporaries desire and generations unborn come to give evergreen celebrity status. Churchill was considered a weakling that was academically of little relevance, yet he saved the entire world from Adolf Hitler and his despicable plans against humanity. Bill Gates was shown the way out of Havard for not being an academic material fit enough for the faculty. He later blazed the trail in softwares and today his windows hold the access key to every human door of Internet technological breakthrough. Robert Goddard was mocked for his pioneering moments in Rocketry until his ideas blazed the trail for modern breakthrough of man in space. A man who was messed up by his contemporaries is today the toast of the world. In the first instance, a cherished status of World War two Prime minister of Britain and a Nobel prize in literature celebrated a man who would have gone down with the statistics of the natural underdogs of humanity. In Bill Gates case a Microsoft unprecedented in success celebrates failure turned upside down. Forty years later, Havard conferred that academic misfit the status of the most academically distinguished alumnus status ever. He is still waxing stronger. Goddard many years after his death became vindicated. His dream came to pass when NASA landed man on the moon. New York Times published a rejoined to their much earlier punitive publication which not only vindicated but celebrated Goddard. In the history of the Old Mali Empire, the tyrannical ruler Sumanguru was finally destroyed by Sundiata, who was spared the annihilation meted out on other members of his ruling household because of his pitiable and disgusting physical challenges. The great lion Sumanguru was ultimately destroyed by the weak sheep Sundiata , who subsequently destroyed his den or his formidable kingdom. Our Lord Jesus was rejected by His people and crucified with the aid of Rome the occupying power. Today, the scepter of His power baffles the entire created order and rattles those who stand in contest with His everlasting dominion. Mans kingdom rises and wanes but His expands and grows forever. Failure is not a terminal condition. It is a comma before a full stop which is repackaging and recovery. What God cannot handle cannot happen. There is hope for a new beginning even for those who have a pedigree of morbid non performance. Jesus Christ is the Lord. Ven Joe Eziaghighala.
