FROM SUNDAY 9/28/14: SOZO MESSENGER: The story of a blind man - TopicsExpress

FROM SUNDAY 9/28/14: SOZO MESSENGER: The story of a blind man that Jesus healed is found in John’s gospel. If the story was simply Jesus healing the man, the man opening his eyes and praising God, it would be a powerful story. Just as powerful as Jesus coming in our lives and delivering us from our own issues. However, the story does not end there. The Jewish authorities did not know what to make of this miracle healing. They had all the facts - a man they knew was born blind, the crowd that overheard his interaction with Jesus, the proof of identity that his parents proved, and yet they refused to believe what was clear to so many. They knew his former identity. The religious leaders challenged the man’s testimony. They voiced their disbelief by calling Jesus a sinner, as if this untruth would somehow disqualify His miracle. The man’s response in John 9: 25 was brilliant: “Whether He is a sinner, I do not know; one thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” No matter what else was said, the man knew the Pharisees could not refute the basic fact that he had been healed. The Pharisees lost their tempers because they could not argue their way around that fact. They could not dispute this man’s testimony and that his identity had changed. People simply cannot argue against the truth of your experience with Jesus. Why share a testimony? You never know who is living in the same pit that GOD pulled you out of. You never know who is looking for the bottle you put down, the late night computer screen that you were able to walk away from, the choice to get up today and live, or the knowledge that you are beautiful, wanted and loved. Have you chosen life, love, or freedom, over death, hate or bondage? Maybe you stayed pure until marriage or have made that choice, or your broken marriage was restored. Could it be that your broken heart has been mended? Maybe you have overcome illness or defeat. Everyone’s story or testimony has the power to change a life. Rejoice that the Lord has given you such a powerful weapon in the midst of so great a spiritual battle. And they have overcome (conquered) him by means of the blood of the Lamb, and by the utterance of their testimony, for they did not love and cling to life even when faced with death [holding their lives cheap till they had to die for their witnessing]. Revelation 12:11 (Amp) Even those of you who believe that your life doesnt have as “good” a testimony as others have, please know that there is power in your testimony. The most powerful testimony there is came from a Man who lived on earth perfectly, in truth, and allowed Himself to be beaten and hung on a tree. There is power in His blood and there is power in YOUR testimony! Will you share your testimony? Will you allow your testimony to encourage others to be conquerors? Blessings, Josh #anomaly
