FROM TEXAS STUDENT TV -- Texas Student TV will hold its annual Summer TV Workshop for Middle and High School students July 14-18. Registration is open until July 3, with a 20% discount available to children of UT faculty and staff; see texasstudenttv/summercamp for details. Texas Student TV (TSTV) is the University of Texas’ own fully student run, FCC-Licensed television station that broadcasts locally on Digital Antenna channel 29.1 and online via TexasStudentTV. During this years TV Workshop, students will learn techniques in filming, lighting, sound, and editing for broadcast television along with many other valuable skills they can take with them that apply to all methods of digital storytelling. Instructors for the workshop will consist of award winning Broadcast Journalism and Radio-Television-Film majors who work at TSTV. At the end of the workshop, students will produce a 30-minute broadcast that will air on TSTV. Students and parents will receive a DVD copy of this recorded broadcast. Our summer workshop consists one session for Middle and High school students. Incoming 6th grade through incoming 12th grade students can attend the workshop.
