FROM THE ARCHIVES (early 1970s) - The magnificent young man on his magnificent machine. I went all over the peninsula with it. I would revel in the admiring glances of young people whenever I stopped at roadside restaurants. I could even cross rivers that didnt have bridges. This was because the spark plug was placed high. This Scrambler bike had 2 spark plugs - one for long distance & one for the city roads. The centre of gravity was low & the long handlebars gave it added stabiliity. I only fell once with it & it was because of oil on the road. I rarely had pillion riders. For some strange reason, everyone would ride pillion only once & decline the second offer. Hmmm, I wonder if it was because I scared the s*** out of them with my zig-zagging through traffic & taking corners low & at speed.
