FROM THE DESK OF CAESAR ASIYO ********************************************* In the wake of the recent general elections, the Orange Democratic Movement Party set in motion a restructuring plan initiated by our Party Leader, the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. The guiding principle in this exercise was due process with the Party rank and file keen on the instilling of professionalism and fairness in the running of Party affairs. Today, following a rigorous recruitment exercise, a selection panel settled upon Hon. Magerer Langat as the new Executive Director of the Party. I heartily congratulate my brother Magerer, and offer him my unwavering support for the task at hand. Mr. Nabii Nabwera has been appointed the Director of Policy and Strategy and Madam Rosemary Kariuki is our new Director of Membership Affairs. I, Caesar Asiyo, have the privilege of serving Party members and Kenyans at large as the new ODM Director of Operations. I wish to thank my Party Leader and ODM in its entirety for entrusting me with this key and strategic responsibility. I am humbled. I ask for your prayers and support to deliver the vision that I have for our beloved political movement. I intend to prioritize transparency and accountability in resource allocation with a significant percentage of Party resources dedicated to the Youth. Of supreme importance will be reform in the process of Party nominations to make ODM a shining example of internal democracy not only in Kenya but the world at large. I intend to introduce consultative leadership that is in touch with the hopes and aspirations that the Kenyan people from across all forty seven counties and the diaspora have for their nation. Its time to MOVE FORWARD.
