FROM THE NEWSROOM: A Connecticut teenager at the center of a custody dispute between Mass. and Conn. is headed back to Conn., according to the Boston Globe. The Boston Globe reported this morning that 15-year-old Justina Pelletier, of West Hartford, is in the process of being transferred back to Conn., per the Mass. Health and Human Services Secretarys office. She is reportedly headed to the JRI Susan Wayne Center for Excellence in Thompson. According to Globes report, Pelletier has been in the custody of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families for more than a year, after allegations of child abuse at the hands of her parents were brought forward by Childrens Hospital. Justina Pelletiers parents are reportedly unhappy with the development, and say they want their daughter returned to their custody.
