FROM THE NEWSROOM: A Dayville man is being held at a Conn. correctional institution after allegedly attempting to flee from police custody following his arrest in Killingly Saturday. According to a police report, state police responded to the Lake Tavern on Upper Maple Street shortly after midnight on Saturday for the report of two patrons that had become “combative” with staff. Troopers arrested 37-year-old Jermaine Brock and 30-year-old Sandra Forcier, of Moosup, on the charges of breach of peace and interfering with an officer. After being transported to the Troop D Barracks, Brock allegedly made a “physical attempt to escape from custody by running for an exterior door” while he was being processed. Brock now faces the additional charges of failure to comply with fingerprinting, third degree criminal mischief and escape from custody. A $50,000 bond was issued in Brocks case; hes being held at the Corrigan Correctional Institution pending a court appearance scheduled for Nov. 20. Forcier was released on a $1,000 bond, according to police.
