FROM THE NEWSROOM: An arrest which stemmed from an investigation by members of the Plainfield Police Department involving the theft of copper pipe and tools from a storage trailer at the construction site located at the Big Y Supermarket in Plainfield was made today, according to a news release. Today at approximately 1:32 PM the Plainfield Police Department arrested 23-year-old Adrian Negron of Valley View Rd, Sterling; police say work was being conducted on the construction site at the time the crime allegedly occurred. Police say the theft occurred during the mid morning hours today and was reported to the Plainfield Police Department at approximately 10:51 AM. Negron, who was arrested at his residence, was charged with Larceny in the 6th Degree LARCENY 6TH and is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on September 2nd. The Plainfield Police Department is reminding residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities. The anonymous tip line, 860-564-7065, is also available to provide information that does not need immediately response.
