FROM THE NEWSROOM: HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A Connecticut radio station says President Barack Obama will be calling in to offer more support to state Democrats on Election Day and address voting problems in Hartford. The National Public Radio station in Hartford, WNPR-FM, says the president will be calling in Tuesday afternoon. Hartford had problems Tuesday morning when officials say registered voter lists werent ready at several polling places when they were supposed to open at 6 a.m. That caused voting delays of up to 90 minutes. Gov. Dannel P. Malloy was one of the people affected and says some people werent able to vote. Malloys campaign is asking a state judge to extend voting in Hartford past the scheduled 8 p.m. closing time. Obama headlined a rally for Malloy in Bridgeport on Sunday.
