FROM THE NEWSROOM: HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Family and police are searching for an 11-year-old boy who went missing in Hartford. Hartford police say Jeremy White was last seen riding his bicycle with relatives and friends in the area of New Britain Avenue and Webster Street at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. A statewide silver alert for him was issued. Family members say they found Jeremys bike at a local park. They say its unlike him not to come home. Police say Jeremy is black, about 4-feet-6-inches tall and about 110 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing Army pants under basketball shorts and a dark-colored shirt. Anyone who knows where Jeremys whereabouts is urged to call Hartford police.
