FROM THE NEWSROOM: NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — New Haven police say three people were injured when the occupants of two cars exchanged gunfire on a city street. Officers responded to Long Wharf and Sargent drives at about 10:20 a.m. Friday and found a man with a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities say he is in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His name hasnt been released. Police found another victim, 18-year-old Miya Beal of New Haven, in a car with a foot injury. Police say the driver of the other car, 25-year-old Luis Rodriguez of New Haven, also was shot and crashed the car while trying to flee. Authorities say he was taken into custody after breaking into a nearby home. Police say Beal and Rodriguez suffered non-life threatening injuries. Officers say they recovered four guns.
