FROM THE NEWSROOM: NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — The getaway driver who helped his drug dealer son flee an arson that killed three people including an 8-year-old boy in New Haven in 2011 has been sentenced to 14½ years in prison. The New Haven Register reports that 52-year-old Hector Morales of New Haven was sentenced Thursday in federal court. A jury convicted him of being an accessory after the fact to arson and other charges. Authorities said Morales son, Hector Natal, set fire to a multifamily home as 17 residents were sleeping, to retaliate against one resident for not paying a drug debt. Three people died including 42-year-old Wanda Roberson, her 8-year-old son, Quayshawn, and her 21-year-old niece, Jaquetta Roberson. Natal was convicted of arson resulting in death and is to be sentenced Feb. 10.
